Easton’s recreational activities are virtually unlimited. The Town boasts excellent year-round recreation programs for children through senior citizens. The Easton Recreation Department involves the community as a whole in many organized events such as Winter Carnival and Easton Field Days which is a week-long event ending with a parade and fireworks.

Easton students excel academically and are also very successful in extracurricular activities. Even with a small student enrollment, Easton sports teams are very competitive and consistently progress to state tournaments. As a result of the recent revaluation process for residential and industrial properties, Easton’s taxes are at 100% for State of Maine valuation purposes giving residents full benefit of the exemptions offered by the State. The Town has been able to keep the mil rate steady at 17.4 for the past three years keeping Easton’s taxes stable for residents and businesses alike.

There are five rental complexes close to the downtown center as well as three mobile home parks in Easton. Easton is home to spectacular ATV and snowmobiling trails providing direct access to the Interconnected Trail System (ITS) with trails connecting Mars Hill, Fort Fairfield, and Presque Isle, as well as trails that connect you with the Canadian border’s scenic vistas overlooking Aroostook County and Canada.
